Roasted Garbanzo Beans

 

These make a delightful and healthful snack, a great alternative to nuts. Store them in a covered container in your refrigerator or freezer...if they last long enough.

 

1 can (19 ounce) garbanzo beans  (also known as chick peas), drained thoroughly

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 clove garlic, grated

dash salt

 

Place in 9x13 pan and mix to coat thoroughly.

Bake 350 for 40 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally

 

Variation: use canned soy beans in place of the chick peas.
